Team Lead Creative Operations (m/f/x)

Your role
The Team Lead for Creative Operations is a key position within our Creative Department, overseeing the core interdepartmental workflows of content planning and production. In this role, you have the opportunity to gain insights into complex production workflows, utilize your skills and experience to optimize team collaboration, and effect positive change in the efficiency, output, and well-being of the team at large. As a leader, you will also help guide and develop a team of chefs and kitchen assistants to meet their full potential, while honing your own management soft skills. Your responsibilities are:

  • Oversee the core interdepartmental workflows and processes, from content planning through production, optimizing for efficiency in planning, producing, and post-processing our key assets
  • Research, propose, and implement appropriate tools to improve workflows and project oversight 
  • Build and maintain a freelance network to support our team in the areas of editing, recipe development, and cooking
  • Support the Creative team (Arts, Editorial, Operations) by overseeing their contracts, budgets, processing payments and invoices for purchases and freelance employment, and documenting expenses 
  • Oversee the execution of product placement requirements, regularly tracking our progress and coordinating with Sales team on deliverables
  • Oversee shoot planning, coordinating closely with Managing Editors to plan project teams well in advance, setting appropriate deadlines for planning and delivery, and communicating necessary operational details across the team 
  • Support team in special projects by arranging travel and accommodation, as well as necessary licenses for production
  • Lead and develop an operations team by setting clear expectations, providing guidance, and empowering them with the tools and framework they need to succeed
Your profile
  • As Team Lead Creative Operations, you lead by example in your interactions within and outside of your department, focused on collaboration, clear and constructive communication, and a solution-oriented mindset
  • You have a knack for coming up with workflows, documentation, and tracking methods to improve processes and promote transparency
  • You are skilled at managing budgets, including tracking, planning, and workflow management
  • You are self-motivated and goal-oriented, thinking a step ahead, and not shy to try and propose out-of-the box ideas to succeed
  • You have a detail-oriented, analytical mindset and can recognize opportunities and obstacles in order to capitalize on or troubleshoot them accordingly
  • You have the ability to build the right team and leverage talents with the appropriate complementary skill sets and culture fit to achieve our goals 
  • Your German is at a conversational level and you have strong English skills
